HANGOVER REMEDIES FOR THE OVER-30 CROWD

Battle your hangover with these excellent hangover remedies!

Let’s face it, and those hangovers get tougher and more challenging as we age. But that doesn’t mean you have to give up on your social life! Here are three easy remedies for those over-30 hangovers that will help you recover quickly so you can get back to enjoying life. Or at least function a bit better!

Hitting your limit the night before? No worries! Everyone has been there. Thankfully, we have some great hangover remedies to help us get over our foggy minds and back in fighting form as soon as possible – but don’t forget the absolute most important thing of all: know your limit and drink responsibly! Being prepared for a night out is one way you can help ensure you won’t be dealing with a nasty morning after.

Also, remember! Have a plan to get home safely! An Uber or Taxi ride is WAY cheaper and more comfortable than a hefty ticket and night in jail.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

It may be hard to believe, but dehydration is one of the leading causes of a hangover. So the best thing you can do is drink plenty of fluids throughout the night and throughout the next day. Water is obviously your best bet here, but if you want something with a stronger flavor try adding some fresh fruit or Liquid IV to your water bottle. You should also consider avoiding caffeinated beverages like coffee and soda which can further dehydrate you.

Pay Attention to what Makes it Worse!

I have learned that there are drinks that make it worse and I stay away from them! Like the above paragraph says, stay away from sodas! I LOVE whiskey presses, but they give me the WORST hangovers! So I stick to wine, and it helps me drink slower, less and I want water more!

Eat Right

The type of food you eat before—and after—a night out can make all the difference when it comes to recovering from a hangover. Make sure you’re eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins in order to replenish your body with essential vitamins and minerals. Additionally, avoid greasy foods like pizza, burgers, or fries which can cause further stomach irritation and leave you feeling worse than before.

If you can’t eat something healthy, eat something filling! Something that will help absorb your drinks. Also, think of snacks for later! You won’t regret it!

Sleep it Off

The type of food you eat before—and after—a night out can make all the difference when it comes to recovering from a hangover. Make sure you’re eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins in order to replenish your body with essential vitamins and minerals. Additionally, avoid greasy foods like pizza, burgers, or fries which can cause further stomach irritation and leave you feeling worse than before.

Be smart, take the day off, or don’t drink the night before class or work! You’ll hate yourself if you do so! Cuddling up with Netflix is the best way to sleep off a hangover!

Despite being over 30, there is hope when it comes to surviving a night out on the town (or perhaps even just one drink too many). With these simple hangover remedies in mind—hydration, getting greens into your system, resting—you’ll be ready to conquer any hangover that comes your way like an absolute champ! Reminding ourselves that we’re not alone in this battle against aging is key; hopefully this post was able to provide you with some helpful advice for getting rid of those pesky hangovers once and for all! Cheers!
