Wisconsin Brand Photography at Studio North in Milwaukee Wisconsin
To say that I adore brand photography is an understatement! I fell in love with it years ago, before it was popular for photographers to do. I love capturing photos for brands that represent them to the core.
Your brand should represent you and your company! It is an extension of who you are, what you are working for, and what makes your company unique to you! Exactly everything that makes rad humans hire you!
When Relax Event Planning contacted me, she needed images for her new website. That portrayed a relaxed, personable, high end and airy brand! We worked closely to plan this session down to the T, from her clothing colors, flowers etc.
When she arrived at Studio North Milwaukee we choose her clothes, set up the table and turned the music up. We had a blast during her session and created epic photos that represent her brand!
Let’s get to know Amy of Relax Event Planning:
Why did you decide to have brand photography done?
First, I’ve never done a branding photography session and have always wanted to! Second, I would like to create a stronger brand/presence to attract more clients that would like to book me for larger packages and design services. Third, along those same lines, I’m thinking about a logo & website refresh that would all align with my photos and new branding.
Favorite part of your job? What is your least favorite part?
Favorite parts: Working with clients that are really excited about their wedding and appreciate my opinion! Helping them have the BEST day, and watching them walk down the aisle. Always makes me emotional. Helping clients with design and making their day beautiful.
Least favorite parts: Some of the heavy labor especially cleaning up late at night haha. Difficult clients or vendors are far and few between but put a damper on the experience.
What was something that surprised you about what you do?
I get SO excited when couples choose to work with me and book my services. I didn’t know I’d love “closing a sale” so much 🙂
Best advice you’ve received?
You can’t control others, but you can control how you respond/react. “Purpose is the opposite of depression” Cathy Heller — Her podcast “Don’t Keep Your Day Job” helped inspire me to start my business.
What advice would you give an aspiring someone interested in your career or any career?
Just try it!
You won’t know if you like something until you try it on your own, or work for someone who does the career you want to do. I just jumped right into my business using my corporate event planning experience and personal wedding planning experience as a guide.
How do you stay inspired?
Honestly following certain accounts on Instagram that post unique, fun and new trends from floral to bridal blogs to photographers and other wedding planners across the country.
Describe your brand and ideal client:
My ideal client is a couple who wants the full planning experience from start to finish. I just booked my first full-service package and ideally, those are the clients I hope to continue to book.
These are also clients who have a little more money to spend on a wedding planner and the fun details/vendors versus DIY couples who are trying to plan their wedding on a budget. I want them to come to me for my experience, attention to detail, eye for design, and my personality. I think it is important to “click” and have a good friendship with my clients along the way. Those are my favorite clients that feel like my friends after the wedding is done.
