What did we do in San Francisco for 3 days?
We went to San Fransisco for an engagement shoot with Natural Intuition Photography! We only had a few days to enjoy the city, spend time with our couple, shoot their rad engagement session and relax. So we thought hard about what we really wanted to do!
We arrived at our Airbnb super late, too late to grab groceries for breakfast, so we headed to a recommended place. Flour Craft was just a short Uber ride away. I was excited about the fact that it was a gluten free cafe! Justin was excited that their special of the day was waffles! It was a tad too “foodie” for Justin, but it was PERFECT for me! We were both excited to be able to sit outside in the sun and enjoy our breakfast. We left a snowstorm back in Wisconsin. We walked around a bit, got some delicious treats, Justin ate his cookie right away, while I munched on my for the rest of the day.
After breakfast, we hopped in an Uber so we could make a plan for our session at Sutro Baths with our couple. We’ve been to this place before, but we still loved being back! This time the sun was shining, perfect for our engagement session! We people watched, watched the waves crash and took some sun filled photos!

Justin rigged up my ONA bag to my Holdfast Moneymaker so I could shoot and change lenses with ease! It was simply perfect!

Enjoy places but do not destroy those places! You do not need to leave your mark this way, or show your love how much you love them this way! If you do things like this it only causes future generations the possibility to NOT be able to see these beautiful places like you did.

Every morning I woke up, brewed some coffee and watched the sunrise out this window! Writing in my journal, writing down ideas and making new goals. I even watched turkey vultures on the electric pole outside basking in the sun. Our Airbnb had an amazing view!
We walked the Golden Gate Bridge!
Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge was always on my bucket list! So we took an Uber to Battery Park West! Our awesome driver took us to his favorite lookout, where we started our walk down to the bridge. It was a beautiful walk down and across the bridge! When we got to the other side we walked around Battery Park East! Learned some awesome history and saw some amazing architecture!
We continued our walk, to hopefully make it to the ferry to take back across the bay. We walked from the bridge to Pier 39 where the ferries were leaving from. But, since it was Sunday they all left early. We missed the Ferry by 20 or so minutes. But, we didn’t care, we got a donut and called an Uber to take us back across.
This is where we had the hardest walk ever!
We had the Uber drop us off at a grocery store no far from the Airbnb. We got some food for the few days we were there, along with wine and beer. To save a bit of money we walked back to our rental. But, since there weren’t any sidewalks back on the main road, the GPS took us UP and AROUND super windy roads. One path was sooo steep! I hugged a bag of groceries while Justin carried is 12 pack. We got so hot we started taking layers off, Justin took his hat off and lost it along the way. That whole day we walked 10+ miles. Needless to say, we were super sore the next day!
Our final day we went out for pizza, which was pricey and not very good so I won’t name it. Watched Friends in bed and drank till we fell asleep, it was the best way to end the trip!
